Kauai Christian Academy was first established in the hearts and minds of several people who were interested in providing a quality education with strong biblical training to their children. The school opened its door in the fall of 1973 with one teacher and fifteen students.
Currently, Kauai Christian Academy is located on a ten-acre campus about one mile from the Kilauea Lighthouse. At the present time, there are two operating buildings which consist of eight classrooms, a library, a computer lab, five restrooms, and administrative offices. A school gym is nearing completion.
Philosophy
Mission Statement:
Kauai Christian Academy exists to assist parents train their children in biblical truth and academic knowledge which leads to the formation of biblical thinking and character, so that our students are personally and professionally prepared to impact their families and world for Jesus Christ.
The purpose of KCA is to provide its students with an education that exalts and glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ in all subjects and activities. Therefore, the Bible is the foundation of all our instruction. Not only is the Bible taught daily in each grade level, but since the Bible is man’s only source of absolute truth, all other subjects are approached from a biblical foundation. In addition, the Bible’s teaching is the basis of all encouragement, correction, and training.
Through the ministry of Christian teachers, biblical standards, spiritual and moral expectations, and a Christian mindset, we seek to make KCA a Christian environment in both precept and practice.
In order to effectively implement its Mission and Philosophy, KCA will carry out the following programs:
1. An academic program which imparts foundational knowledge in major fields of study (Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, History) and inspires excellence in all aspects of life.
2. A spiritual emphasis which exalts the sufficiency of Scripture and the supremacy of Christ in all things, and develops Christian character, self-control, and personal responsibility.

Kauai Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith
• We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing and is God’s final word to humanity for faith and practice.
• We believe in one eternal and holy God who exists as three persons—God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the creation of the world by God in six literal days by the word of His mouth.
• We believe that man was created in the image of God. However, because man disobeyed God, all men are born with a sinful nature which alienates them from God and condemns them to eternal death.
• We believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin, to live a sinless life, to die a cruel death as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind, and to have victory over death, and that He now lives in Heaven interceding for believers.
• We believe that all who place their trust in Christ are justified in the eyes of God by the blood of Jesus as the only payment for their sins. Acceptance of His gift of salvation is the only basis for a personal relationship with God and salvation from eternal death.
• We believe God sends His Holy Spirit at salvation to live within each who accepts Christ as his Savior, to convict of sin and to guide him in accordance with His Word.
• We believe in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust—the just to eternal blessing with the Lord and the unjust to everlasting punishment.
